EBP launched the first Learn, Excel & Aspire Programme - LEAP in April 2011 with staff from Fasset at Langstone Technology Park partnering students from Havant Academy.

LEAP brings business and schools together with the aim of building the work skills, employability skills and self esteem of young people through a series of  interactive workshops. The sessions are facilitated by EBP staff, with business mentors working with small groups of pupils as they learn new skills such as effective presenting and business communication skills through interactive and realistic work scenarios.

The programme consists of a series of 5 workshops run during morning sessions on a monthly basis (although this format is flexible), and focuses on specific areas of employability skills identified as most sought after by employers.

LEAP is offered to young people in school Year 9 or 10 (aged 13-15) who are on track to achieve 5 GCSEs at Grade A*-C, but who would benefit from further individual input to achieve their full potential. The programme is designed to be engaging, challenging, yet fun in order for the students to progress and develop to maximum effect.

At the end of the programme there is a celebratory event where the pupils are presented with a certificate of achievement.
