Follwing his success at the EBP Awards evening in October, where he won Best Mentor, Stewart Legg took his award into school to show some of his mentees. Stewart won the award for his otustanding contribution to mentoring at Springfield Technology College, where he has volunteered for eight years. He wanted to share his success with his mentees, as he modestly says "without these guys and all those who went before them, there would be no mentoring or award."

The mentoring scheme at Springfield is managed by Assistant Head John Lomas, with whom Stewart liaises closely in his work with up to 12 boys at any one time. John added "Stewart is one of our most experienced mentors and is highly valued by the school. He works with a number of boys who need support and is highly effective in communicating with them"

Stewart continues his excellent work at Springfield in mentoring, as well as finding time to help out Rugby Coaching at the school.
