Welcome to Portsmouth and South East Hampshire EBP

Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance

EBP believe that careers guidance is most effective when combined with a programme of careers education and work related learning. Together these help to raise achievement, increase social mobility, improve employability and help students to make informed choices.

We see the current changes in the structure of careers services as an opportunity to improve the service for students. We believe that by combining careers guidance with our existing expertise, we are well placed to offer a service to schools that will enable students to explore careers and the world of work in a realistic way.

“I would like to say how effective and professional Eleanor and Julia have been with year 11 interviews this year. This has been the first year that pupils have actively sought out interviews; the support given has been outstanding, both of pupils and myself! Both Julia and Eleanor have gone ‘the extra mile’ on a weekly basis” Shirley Sliwinski Careers Co-ordinator,  Mayfield School

Inspiring the workforce of tomorrow

We passionately believe that the best way to inspire and motivate any generation to fulfil its potential, is by bringing education and business communities together, to develop mutual understanding and provide opportunities that help young people prepare for their futures in the world of work. Whether this be by bringing business people to the classroom or finding opportunities for students to gain valuable insight into real-life working environments, the EBP has worked with every secondary school in its area and has provided over 18,000 opportunities each year for young people to engage with the world of work.
